Rating: DNF Themes: Thriller, Crime, Mystery Thoughts: The storyline seemed unnecessary padded and lots of paragraphs didn't really further the plot any. I skipped to the end just to see how she was found only for there to be no verdict after 138 pages of trial, really. And the epilogue not only still dodnt answer it but left with more wtf questions. 

Rating: 4 Stars Themes: Coming of Age, Romance, Young Adult Thoughts: This is such a sweet coming of age story. Mo experiences so much growth throughout the book and it tackles the difficulty of growing up a Church Girl, Vaginismus and positive sexual education in a sensitive way.  Favourite Quote: "Fear comes out of ignorance, and I've been ignorant about my body for far too long."

Rating: 4 Stars Themes: Thriller, Murder, Suspense, Mystery, Psychological Thriller Thoughts: Lisa has done it again. I haven't picked up a Lisa Jewell I didn't like yet and this is no exception. Twists and turns are constant as you start to believe you've sussed characters out to keep you guessing. The epilogue was wow, although I'm sure some readers will have disliked an ending like that, not getting all the answers completely.  Favourite Quote: "People are everything. That's one thing I've learned. if you're with the right people then you're generally in the right place."

Rating: 4 Stars Themes: Dystopian Fiction, Feminism, Science Fiction, Contemporary, Fantasy Thoughts: This was such a good read. There's multiple points of view from different genders and stances with included discussions between two people after the event that's counted down to. It's interesting in these emails to see how the genders have been reversed and the aggression and violence remains ingrained. Overall an interesting read with feminist tones.  Favourite Quote: "This is the trouble with history. You can't see what's not there. You can look at an empty space and see that something's missing, but there's no way to know what it was."

Rating: DNF Themes: Young Adult, Mystery, Thriller, Crime Thoughts: So disappointed. I loved the other two books and really loved Pip so to me this story was really a let down. There were small things such as Xanex in the UK, that nuts fit on bolts not screws and the medical/psychological treatment of PTSD aren't how we work in the real world really took me out of the story this time. Pip did not really feel like Pip at all this time (although I understand what Holly was trying to do) and the repetitions of it were a buy much. Also the trying to force a full circle thing was way to much for me, cheesy and I eye rolled in more than one instance at it.

Rating: DNF Themes: Horror, Middle Grade, Halloween, Supernatural Thoughts: I have read and liked middle grade and young stories before so thought I'd give this one a try. Personally i found that there was too much he said she said he said repeatedly and too much descriptions for me. However, the action scenes themselves weren't bad so it likely was just as it had been written for a much younger audience than myself. 

Rating: 5 Stars Themes: Memoir, Non-Fiction, Holocaust Thoughts: This is gritty, real and more than a little heartbreaking. As a child who wrote of his experiences straight after there isn't an influential of others saying what is and isn't acceptable. As a result we get to see the reality of prisoners using and even turning on each other as well as the glimpses of hope (school doctor, the nurse that changed his name, those who helped change his triangle) which ultimately saved his life. Favourite Quote: "This grim chapter of our past was created by people and it is people who can create a brighter future."
