Thoughts:
Thought provoking. It's actually somewhat disappointing how much of these thoughts still applying about 70 years later with radical nationalism becoming more of a problem and leading to worse attrocities and attacks than when Orwell was writing.

"Nationalism is power hunger tempered by self-deception. Every nationalist is capable of the most flagrant dishonesty, but he is also - since he is conscious of serving something bigger than himself - unshakably certain of being in the right."
